Home Insecticides

Most people would not think about insecticide during winter; however, when there is a problem it must be dealt with.

Living in a new place, it is under development. Previously, it was open grass land. It was mostly Trap Spiders, Crickets, Grasshoppers and Aphids. The real-estate company is attempting to create a holistic environment. A decision to spray insecticide has challenges.

Knowledge about ecosystems is better. There are several features making insecticides less important. Knowledge on the subject is not perfect. After years of using pesticides, it is bad. Sometimes the only thing left to eat is the Human.

There is a tendency to kill everything, expect, what cannot be killed. There is an opening for inert and deadly molds to flourish. Insects like the Cockroach become the remaining wildlife. Birds will not eat them, because they might die from the poison.

In a fully developed environment, there is less reason to worry. Spiders and insects are in balance. Lizards might defend the home. In Texas, Geckos appear on the walls and floors. They disappear. They are somewhere. They protect the house from insects and spiders. When there is a good balance, poison also kills Human Friendly Predators. There must be obvious reason to use pesticides beyond spraying baseboards or sprinkling granules around the outside of a home.

Despite efforts to create a lake to irrigate trees and bushes, it is not enough to make me feel safe. I already sprayed insecticide around the floorboards. It is safe for mature pets and humans. You have to wait if having Children under the age of two or young pets.

Signs that a home is not livable, includes: waking up with abrasions, red scratches and vampire bites. They are not vampire bites. They are two punctures relatively close to each other. It is easy to cure. Place rubbing alcohol on the abrasions and rub lightly with a cloth. Most people soak the cloth with rubbing alcohol and rub gently. This stops the spread of infection.

Insects have sharp exoskeletons and carry germs that do not affect them, yet can kill a Human. Several abrasions will not harm a person. It is curable. It might be better to live through a few abrasions and hope it gets better. A large scale infestation can kill a person. Theory is they naturally eat dead skin, so it is helpful. Beatles will eat your face.

Having environmental concerns, I do not want to kill every Spider or Insect in my home. I will not follow all of the instructions for the foggers or bug bomb. (Foggers are a home insecticide found in most grocery stores.) It is safe for home. I will leave the cupboard doors closed. One fogging for each main area is enough to last two years. In two years, the outdoor climate will be better for them.

I want to establish territory. This is a Human's home. In a couple years the bushes outside will be tall enough to supply highrise living for spiders if the Ground Maintenance Crew does not use pesticide. If they do, it will be an ongoing battle with poison.

Native American traditions reveal information about a region. There is a Spider, Snake, Wolf and Lizard Clan. There are several more. I have spent most of my life in the Great Plains.

Utah is mostly Sacred Land. There are many stories of Spirits, mysterious deaths and Skin Walkers. There is a Spider Clan and myths about the Lady of the Web in Texas. Knowing more about the ecosystem in both climates, spiders appear to be the best defense in Utah. Lizards appear to be a defense in Texas.

Spiders herd insects like Ranchers. Making a homestead of bugs, the Insects are tame and less likely to damage a Human. Spiders are not likely to bite a Human. It makes sense to establish territory for Spiders around a home.

Bushes with needles or tightly intertwining, thick leaves offer an ideal home for Spiders. When it snows, it creates a barrier to the cold. In the summer the bushes retain water, so it is cooler. Spiders find high ground on the branches while Insect trundle along the roots and dirt. They have plenty of food. Moving them outside is almost kind, because there is a greater abundance of food.

Unfortunately, the new bushes are not tall enough. It snowed heavily. Snow is in contact with the trunk. There is no space to create air pockets of warmth. Homes are more appealing.

In Texas, the Pueblos idealize the Lizard. The Orb Spider is an intensely deadly Spider. They are huge and spin a web around a grasshopper within a second. They are also harmless to Humans. While territorial, they are not likely to bite a human. They will if provoked. Usually, they stay on their web, in their tree .

The water table in Texas is high. There are several underground caverns for lakes and streams. These host frogs, who are known to ward off the Evil Eye and also large Spiders that are probably in the Tarantula family. There are also several Venomous House Spiders.

Tarantulas are not really a problem. There is a chance they could become overly playful with a human. The Lizard is given Cherub-like similarities in paintings. They have pink cheeks and sit along the rocks in picturesque wisdom and security. There is a good chance, what birds are to coastal towns, Lizards are to the Southern Great Plains.

Though living in maritime climates, occasionally, I am not sure what to find. June Bugs only appear in June. They mysteriously disappear, yet I do not know if they are historically a guest or pest.

It is a good idea to use the standard methods for making a home less likely to attract insects as in "Urban Wildlife." Scientific knowledge of best methods for home safety are improving. It would be nice to have a solid plan for each region. It is not available on State websites.

If you live in the Northern Great Plains, it is time to be planning a suitable spider hotel. It should be thick and tall. Never spray it with insecticide. Leave a nice bed of mowed lawn. It is great for Insects who also have rights. Poisons goes on around the house whether spraying inside or granules on the outside. (Avoid granules on the outside of a home with a high water table and check for visors to avoid poisoning ground water. It inhibits Frogs and makes cave dwelling Spiders find a new habitat.)

When in danger, a fogging kills everything. It is a time to start again. There is a goal to establish an ecosystem that is friendly to Humans. Humans are also Animals and should establish territorial boundaries. Insects might not be attempting to kill humans; however, they are unsure of what a Human is and how durable we are.
