Sweet Stir Fry Rice

Stir Fried Rice is a classic. It can be a side dish or main course. Full of nutrients, it also provides a warm feeling of satisfaction. Sweet Stir Fry Rice is a similar to this classic; except, it is balanced with sweetness of grenadine and fruit.

Ingredients:
2 Cups Cooked Rice
1/4 Cup Canola Oil
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
3 Sliced Carrots
2 Sliced Celery Stalk
1/2 Medium Onion
1 Chopped Apple
1 Diced Kiwi
1 Cup Water
1 Cube Bouillon
1 Teaspoon Powdered Ginger
1 Tablespoon Grenadine
1 Teaspoon Brown Sugar
2 Eggs

Optional Ingredients:
Beef
Chicken
Pork
Cabbage
Peanut Oil
Sunflower Oil
Peanuts

First cook the rice by following directions on the box. Pick out your favorite rice. Most people think of white rice; however, wild or long rice are better, depending on a person's tastes. Cook one cup of a different type of rice and then combine them for the two cups of cooked rice. Chop the carrots, celery, onion, apple and kiwi while the rice is cooking.

Preheat a pan with a high edge or a wok over medium-high. Pour in the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and cooking oil over. Add the fruits and vegetables rice before it starts boiling. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon for a five minutes. The onion will turn cloudy. Then add a full cup of water, bouillon, ginger, grenadine and brown sugar.

Be careful with bouillon. Make sure it states it is one cube to one cup of water. Sometimes bouillon is salty, so half a cube is good enough. Choose between: beef, chicken or vegetable bouillon. If using pork in the meal, chicken bouillon works the best.

When water comes to a boil stir the mixture, making sure the bouillon has completely dissolved. Now add the rice. It will take a few minutes for the rice to absorb the sauce. Whisk two eggs in a bowl with a fork. Move the rice to the side of the pan and drop the eggs onto the pan. Quickly moves them around with the spatula and then fold the rice and eggs together.

Now it is possible to add the peanut or sunflower oil. Turn off the stove, but keep the pan on the burner. Left over heat helps finish the meal. Peanut and sunflower oil are sensitive to high and easily turn sour. I do not recommend combining extra virgin olive oil and peanut oil together. If extra virgin olive oil was used as the cooking oil, use sunflower oil.

When adding meat, refer to "Bite Sized Meat." Add meat at the same time the rice is added to the sauce, even if adding cabbage as a meat substitute. There is plenty of time for it to finish cooking during the remaining steps.

Sweet Stir Fry Rice is salty and sweet. In addition, the combination of starches, carbohydrates and proteins provide essential amino acids not common in most diets. This can be a meal in its self or serve it with wontons and crunchy noodles. This provides additional texture and variety. It is easy to make and completely enjoyable.
